Stephen Longo led off with a solo home run to left in the top of the first to give Plymouth Whitemarsh a 1-0 lead; it was the Colonials first postseason run since Bobby Slagle scores in the top of the first of a second round district game May 25, 2011 (11-1 five-inning loss at Spring-Ford). PW led 2-0 entering the bottom of the fourth inning. Riley Davis, Bryce Carey and Andrew Nole (three RBIs) each had two hits for Avon Grove, including Nole’s solo shot to right in the sixth. The Red Devils travel to two seed Spring-Ford Wednesday May 23 while PW ends the season 11-9. This was PW's first playoff game since 2014.
