Although the score didn’t go our way today I was proud of our effort and the adjustments that the girls made from our first game against Pennsbury. As a coaching staff we have been preaching the need to compete in every challenge and on every set piece and on every 50/50 ball. The girls are beginning to full understand what’s necessary and I think that showed in the game today. Pennsbury are a talented side and their attacking play is relentless. We worked as a team to nullify them as much as possible but credit to our back line, Brooke Strobel, Lilly Ries, Bailee Mathews and Marisa Hsu. We didn’t generate as many chances as we wanted but I thought we had done enough to take the game into OT. It wasn’t to be.
