COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 2 (25-15, 25-16, 20-25, 22-25, 17-15)
The National Conference race has been a most interesting one, and the Indians – who held on to win in five sets – made things more interesting with their win over conference-leading West.
The Indians received strong matches from senior Jill Schweizer (33 digs, seven aces) and junior Kylie Tinner (43 assists, 17 digs, six kills, three blocks, one ace). Sophomore Cora Lake had nine kills and one block, and sophomore outside hitter Mary Baniewicz had 19 kills, one ace and 14 digs while freshman Ashleigh Adams had 11 kills, one ace and 26 digs.
For the Bucks, Amanda Mass led the way at the net with 19 kills and two blocks. Magda Videva (10 kills, two blocks, five digs), Mackenzie Brooks (nine kills, 24 digs) and Juliana Stumpf (nine kills, five digs) also came up big. Setter Ana Claricurzio had 45 assists, 25 digs, two aces and one kills. Naomi Woo contributed six kills and two blocks, and Maggie Winderman once again came up big defensively, finishing with 24 digs and four assists.
CB West and Pennsbury now share the conference lead with three losses while CR North and CR South both have four losses.
PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-16)
The Falcons put themselves back in the hunt for a conference crown with their sweep of the Golden Hawks.
Setter Carissa Van Veen had 28 assists, six digs, one kill and one block. Elley Torres led a balanced attack with nine kills (.368 hitting percentage), five aces and six digs. Izzy Marinelli had eight kills, and Brooke Burns had seven kills and nine digs. Mary Miller contributed five kills (.625), two digs and two blocks. Abbie Drewes had seven digs and one ace, and Ashley Parry chipped in two digs and one ace.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0
The Patriots rolled to a sweep of the Tigers in a match that saw coach Kerri Rabberman give everyone playing time.
“It was awesome to see everyone in and playing in different positions as well,” the Patriots’ coach said.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-17)
The Colonials proved to be remarkably consistent, winning all three sets by identical scores.
Leading the Colonials at the net was Megan Peuser with 12 kills and three blocks. Aja Smith led PW’s service game with five aces to go along with six kills and 10 digs. Setter Sydney Melillo had 26 assists and seven digs, and Sophia Repholz had 11 digs and two aces.
For the Indians, Maria Iervolino led the attack with nine kills as well as two aces and two digs. Setter Maya Hanson had 23 assists and six digs. Jordyn Peacock finished with six kills, two aces, three digs and one block. Bella Mazzeo led the defense with 10 digs, three aces and one kill. Also contributing were Alyssa Reiner (three kills, one dig), Erin Brady (two kills, one block) and Zoe Kondel (two kills).
ABINGTON 3, UPPER DUBLIN 0 25-12, 25-21-25-16
It was a banner night for the Ghosts.
Not only did they earn a sweep of the Flying Cardinals, they also hung Abington’s very first championship banner. In attendance were members of last year’s title squad. Only Grace Whitney, who is playing at West Chester, was unable to attend.
