Council Rock South defeated Villa Joseph Marie 3-0 (28-26, 25-16, 25-16)
The Golden Hawks ended their regular season schedule with a sweep of the Jems. South was led by Celina Varian with 3 kills, Ariana Ranieri with 6 kills, Lauren Dougherty with 4 kills, Paige O’Connell with 4 kills and 10 assists, and Ava Paulson with 14 assists.
This was the last regular season match for coach John Wright who will be retiring at the end of the school year. Coach Wright said; “I am very proud of the way our team has come together. We graduated a lot of talent last year and I challenged the players to improve in every aspect of the game. This year we had more victories than last year. And, hopefully we will be hosting a playoff game on Tuesday.”
