Bryan Ziegler scored his fourth goal off a ride with 1:39 left in the
2nd overtime to give Souderton its first ever sweep of Central Bucks
West. The Indians trailed 4-2 at halftime, but rallied to take a 5-4
lead on J.P. Carroll's nice upper-corner shot with 4:47 in regulation.
The Bucks continued to play hard and tied the game with 35 seconds
left off a rebound of a Grant Nice save to send the game to OT. Tanner
Barbon continued to dominate faceoffs for West, which also received an
excellent game from goalie Jake Ross (18 saves).
Ziegler deflected a pass from a West defenseman, then sprinted to the
goal and bounced a shot over Ross to clinch the fourth one-goal win
for Souderton this season.
Also scoring for Souderton was Lee Stiles, and a strong defensive
performance by senior defenseman Brad Sawhill, helped Souderton up its
league record to 5-3 in the Suburban Continental Conference. (8-3
overall).
