What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “My coach freshman year had a really big impact. She said she thought I had what it takes to go D-I. I started looking into it as soon as she said it.”
Coach Mary Elizabeth Klepper says: “Kaley is a threat all over the field. She controls the draw, has speed through the transition, and has a powerful shot that can't be stopped. From her defensive stops and ground balls, Kaley is a solid, relentless player all over the field. Kaley is an all-around great athlete and is always putting forth her best effort.”

Anna Joseph – East Carolina University (Lacrosse)
Major: Marketing/Business
Reasons for choosing East Carolina: “I love the team, the coaches are phenomenal, and it’s in North Carolina and it’s beautiful.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to play lacrosse in college, but I knew that if I was going to I was definitely going to play at East Carolina. When I was a freshman, the juniors were all going Division I, and they were my motivation because they always tried so hard, and I was like, ‘I want to be like them.’ That made me want to play in college at their level.”
Coach Mary Elizabeth Klepper says: “Anna's speed cannot be beat. After a defensive ground ball or caused turnover, Anna sprints down the field to make sure we have control on attack before heading back to her defensive unit. She is usually marking our opponent's best player. Anna's drive and contagious spirit makes her a great teammate.”

Reasons for choosing Winthrop: “It felt like home, it has a great lacrosse program, and (the team) felt like family.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “Lacrosse is my passion, and I wouldn’t be me without lacrosse. I always knew that I wanted to play in college since fourth grade. I first started talking to Winthrop in 2016 before you had to wait until your junior year, so I did a few camps at Winthrop. On Sept. 1, 2017, they offered me, and I committed five days later on Sept. 6, 2017.”
Coach Mary Elizabeth Klepper says: “Jamira is a leader on our attack. Her control and patience are why she is leading in assists. Not only does she see the field to give others an opportunity to score, Jam is a threat on the crease. Her composure on the field and love for the sport is evident not only during the season, but her consistent effort in the off season to get better.”
