CB East defeated Truman in SHSHL action on Wednesday. Ben Reese recaps all the action.

WARWICK -- Chris McIntyre hasn't seen much ice time in the last six weeks.
The Central Bucks East goaltender has been sidelined with what he describes as "a kidney blockage."
However, watching McIntyre tame Truman in Wednesday night's 5-1 Patriot victory at Revolution Ice Gardens, you would be hard pressed to realize he had missed any time at all. He kicked out 22 shots to pick up the victory.
"It was his first game back," said East coach Ken Latchum. "He looked good in practice. I need both goalies going. They're both good so I alternate them.
"I need Chris to get some games before we get into the playoffs. He looked good in practice and he looked good tonight."
Truman coach Bill Keyser noticed that, too.
"CB East's goalie stopped a lot of our shots," the Tigers’ coach said. "We thought they went in and he made miraculous saves."
For McIntyre, it was a much-needed return.
"I've been on the ice a couple times since (being out)," he said. "And I've been training hard for it.
"(I missed) a good six weeks. (It was) difficult to come back but I pushed through it and was able to get back."
It wasn't exactly a one-sided game for the goalie. The Tigers' net-minder, Jeremy Wedul, also turned in an outstanding game, stopping 35 shots.
"My goalie, who's a senior, has been giving us a chance to win games," said Keyser, "but we just haven't been able to put it together and put the puck in the net."
Latchum appreciated what he saw in Truman's goalie.
"Their goalie played exceptionally well," he said. "That was the scary part. We're throwing shots at him and he's gloving everything.
"Toward the middle of the second period, he started leaving some rebounds. I told the kids to crash the net because he's leaving rebounds now."
That was about the time the Patriots turned a tight 1-1 game into a four-goal runaway.
East took the lead in the first period on Sean Gorman's goal. But Truman tied it midway through the second on Robert DeCrosta's tally.
The Pats took the lead for good at the 13:24 mark of the second. Shane West fired a shot at Wedul, who went toward the puck, but Ron Kern deflected it past Wedul for a 2-1 lead.
The third period saw East score three times. Gorman netted his second goal followed by markers from Brendan Lynch and Max Ermigiotti.
Lynch's goal went into an empty net. He banked the puck off the sideboards and down the ice into the goal.
"I told my (assistant) coach that this is the year of the bounce, which we don't get," said Keyser. "No sooner do I say that than they banked that empty-netter off the wall. I said, 'There it is - there's the bounce that we don't get.' "
It appeared that the Tigers were tiring as they entered the third period. Keyser confirmed that.
"Definitely gassed," he said. "I was missing some key players that would have helped me on offense. I had to play more kids who aren't used to that ice time.
"CB East had a good game plan. They came out and they played physical and intimidated a lot of my younger players and that was a big part of the game."

Thomas Gallagher dished out five assists, and Joey Matteo had a four-point night with two goals and two assists to lead the Redskins to the convincing win.
The Redskins led by just a 1-0 score after one period, thanks to a Charles Potash goal in the closing minutes of the period. The second period was another story entirely as the ‘Skins reeled off four unanswered goals.
DeMatteo turned a Trevor Kuhn pass into a goal 4:17 into the period, and three minutes later Jacob Helms found the net to put the Redskins on top 3-0. DeMatteo and Gallagher assisted on the goal. Another Helms goal, this one with a DeMatteo assist, made it a 4-0 game, and the Redskins had a five-goal cushion after DeMatteo (Gallagher/Helms assists) scored late in the period.
Before two minutes had elapsed in the final period, Brian McGrody and Joey Buday each scored a goal – both with Gallagher assists. Gallagher notched his fifth helper of the game when he found McGrody for a goal that put the Redskins on top 8-0. Zach McNamee also assisted. Ryan McColgan’s unassisted goal closed out the scoring for the Redskins. The Indians broke up their shutout big when Richard Sichel (Trevor Zemzik assist) scored at the 13:33 mark of the period.
The Redskins held a 59-21 advantage in shots, but Rock North goalie Rex Goldberg kept his team in it with a 50-save effort. Brian Nelson recorded 20 saves in goal for the Redskins in a winning effort.
