PENNRIDGE 2, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2
In a game that featured more defense than offense, the Rams and Golden Hawks were forced to settle with a tie. Both goalies came up big. Rock South’s Jimmy Sweeney turned away 33 of 35 shots for a dazzling .943 save percentage. Pennridge’s Luke Stranick was equally stingy with 27 saves on 29 shots (.931).
Twice the Golden Hawks took a lead, and twice the Rams came back and tied it. Brennen Wright’s power play goal with assists from Logan Hurwitz and David Vergules broke up a scoreless tie and gave the Golden Bears a 1-0 lead 5:47 into the game. Blake Stewart scored the equalizer late in the period with assists from Matthew Guinette and Michael Walker.
Hurwitz’s goal 7:39 into the final period with an Andy Stoychev assist gave the Golden Hawks a 2-1 lead that Michael Eissler erased when he found the net 12:21 into the period with an assist from Nick Eissler.

UPPER DUBLIN 9, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 8
The Flying Cardinals saved their best for last, earning their first win of the season in the final game of their season. They needed three goals in the final period to erase a 7-6 deficit. Ari Nordlinger’s six-point game (three goals, three assists) led the Cardinals.
Jake Weikel (Luke Weikel assist) spotted the Colonials a 1-0 lead 1:16 into the game. Owen Serafin answered with three straight goals to put the Cardinals on top 3-1. A goal by Nordlinger upped that lead to three. A pair of Aidan Keogh goals sandwiched around a Quinn Burns power play goal pulled the Colonials to within two, 5-3.
The Colonials owned the second period, reeling off four straight goals – two by Dean Keller (one on a power play) and one each from Benjamin Lubas (power play) and Luke Weikel. A Nordlinger goal pulled the Cardinals to within one after two periods.
Goals by Keller and Nordlinger gave the Cardinals a 7-6 lead 3:32 into the period. Chris Barbera scored the tying goal midway through the period, but Chris Barbera turned a Nordlinger pass into a goal with just over a minute remaining to give the Cards the dramatic win.
Liam Nixon earned the win in goal, turning away 35 of 43 shots for the Flying Cardinals.

Perry Carpenter had himself a day, scoring eight goals and assisting on two others in a stellar 10-point effort.
A goal by Michael Janora spotted the Indians an early 1-0 lead, but Colin Burton scored the equalizer less than a minute later, using assists from Daniel Staley and Holden Brooker. Back-to-back goals by Perry Carpenter – both with assists from Ryan Gosselin and Nick Klinewski – gave the Ghosts a 3-1 lead after one period.
The Indians made it a 3-2 game when Wilton Pasch found the net with assists from Janora and Jude Hollister. The Ghosts answered with six straight goals to close out the period. Carpenter accounted for five of them, and Gavin O’Donnell had a single goal.
Bruton (one goal, two assists), Gosselin (three assists) and Daniel Staley (one goal, two assists) each contributed three-point games for the Ghosts. Tommy Rourke and Klinewski both had a pair of assists.
Ben Panella earned the win in goals, turning away 24 of 26 shots.

Adam Bostock turned in a glittering nine-point effort, scoring four goals and assisting on five others to lead the Lions. Contributing three-point games were Nicholas Khimoian (three goals), Tyler Scolnick (one goal, two assists) and Vincenzo DeMaio (three assists).
Devin Green had a pair of assists and Coleman Peppelman added a goal and an assist. Noah Gazzara chipped in an assist.
The Lions took care of business in a hurry, opening up a 10-1 lead after one period and finishing it off with a goal in the second.
Jacob Lungin turned away 12 of 13 shots in a winning effort in goal.

The Trojans eked out a win over the Hatters in a battle of playoff bound squads.
A goal by Sean Garry 36 seconds into the game gave the Trojans a lead that held until the 9:38 mark of the third period when Garry found the net for a short-handed goal. Less than a minute later, Nolan Ryan (Nicholas Hussa assist) scored to put the Trojans on top 3-0 before Ben Heywood scored a late goal with assists from Tarek Elsabbagh and Aidan Essack to break up Wissahickon’s shutout bid.
Michael Henderson stopped 23 of 24 shots to earn the win in goal for the Trojans.

The Falcons took a 2-0 lead in the opening period and never looked back on their way to the win. Jake Sieger led the charge, scoring three goals and assisting on another.
Erik Eisler scored a goal that turned out to be the game-winner 1:29 into the opening period, using assists from Jake Sieger and Shane Siegmund. Sieger added a goal with a Reese Picker assist.
In the second period, Bobby Markus (Chad Cartwright assist) scored four minutes into the second period to cut the Falcons’ lead in half. Beau Yedman got that back, using an Erik Eisler assist to give the Falcons a 3-1 advantage heading into the final period.
A pair of Sieger goals in the final period gave the Falcons their final margin of victory.
Topher Seiler stopped 22 of 23 shots to earn the win in goal for the Falcons. Tennent’s Thomas Lomas had 31 saves.

William Findlay found the net 59 seconds into the final period, knotting the score 4-4. That score stood the rest of the way as the two teams settled for a 0-0 tie.
Thomas Gallagher’s goal 2:06 into the game with assists from Robert Seewagen and Joey DeMatteo gave the Redskins an early lead. Steven Avellino answered with a short-handed goal that knotted the score, using a Decklyn Dailey assist. Truman took a short-lived 2-1 lead when James Gallagher scored with a Findlay assist only to watch DeMatteo (Seewagen assist) connect on the tying goal.
In the opening minute of the second period, Findlay scored with a Dailey assist to put the Tigers on top 3-2. Goals by Seewagen and Brett Nelson (Trevor Kuhn assist) sent the Redskins into the final period with a 4-3 lead that was erased by Findlay.
Neshaminy Steve Glik turned away 40 of 44 shots while Truman’s Jeremy Wedul stopped 36 of 40 shots

The Titans put the finishing touches on another Continental Conference regular season title, salvaging a tie when Colin Abbonizio scored with a DJ LoVerdi assist at the 13:13 mark of the final period.
Dominick Liberta (Daniel Kvecher/Harry McLaughlin assists) gave the Titans an early 1-0 lead 6:53 into the opening period. Eric Slater knotted the score 11 minutes into the second period, using a Michael Walker assist.
Fifty-one seconds into the final period, Matthew Guinette (Eric Slater/Michael Walker assists) put the Rams on top 2-1. Harry McLaughlin got that goal back for the Titans, but Salter gave the Rams a 3-2 lead, setting the stage for Abbonizio’s equalizer.
Pennridge goalie Luke Stranick stopped 20 of 23 shots while South’s Oscar Levin turned away 17 of 20 shots.
