Souderton found itself in a familiar place, a pitcher’s duel with another SOLC opponent. Souderton’s Luke Taylor squared off against North Penn’s Joe Valenti. This was the second time Valenti took the mound against Souderton in the last two weeks. Taylor pitched a complete game shutout. He struck out six and scattered just two hits. Valenti also threw a complete game with four k’s. He gave up two runs, but just one earned run. Souderton scored its first run in the third inning. Conlan Wall singled to center field. He advanced to second on a ground ball by Taylor. Jacob Horton drove him in on a single to left field. Souderton added an insurance run in the seventh. Souderton visits CB West while North Penn visits Pennsbury on Thursday.
