Hatboro-Horsham Comments
The Hatboro-Horsham Hatters got some redemption as they defeated the visiting Upper Dublin Cardinals, who defeated the Hats earlier this season in the league opener, by a score of 8-1.

Hatters starting pitcher Jackson Treski set the tone by limiting the Cardinals to 1 unearned run on 3 hits and 2 walks over his 6 innings of work. Treski improved to 4-0 on the year with a 0.31 ERA in 22.2 innings pitched while allowing just 9 hits and striking out 25.

The Hatters fell behind 1-0 in the top of the 2 nd inning when a series of defensive miscues lead to a Cardinal run.

The Hatters were able to put up a big inning in the bottom of the 3 rd when they scored 7 runs. Junior SS Jake Bianchini started the rally with a walk and advanced to second on a single by senior 3B Sean Gledhill. Junior catcher Anthony Bruno was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Junior 1B Benny Wilson hit a 2 RBI single to give the Hatters a 2-1 lead and he advanced to second on the throw home. A fielder’s choice by junior left fielder Anthony Liott scored junior courtesy runner Ram Krishnamoorthy and allowed Liott to reach first. After a stolen base, junior second baseman Bradan Mallon hit a double scoring two more hatters. Senior RF Ryley Robinson worked a walk and stole second base. A sac bunt by sophomore CF Jimmy Tooley scored both Mallon and Robinson to give the Hatters a 7-1 lead.

The Hatters added on in the 4 th inning when senior 3B Sean Gledhill singled and stole second, third and home to give the Hatters their final margin of 8-1.

Krishnamoorthy pitched a scoreless 7 th inning to preserve the win for the Hatters.

The win improved the Hatters to 10-3 overall and 7-1 in the SOL American. They will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Wissahickon.
