Casey reached 100 career goals. This is a huge milestone for Casey because she played defense last year.

Today's win was really important for us. Springford is a talented team and it was a great game. We knew this would be competitive. The girls came together for a great day. Casey scoring her 100th goal and getting the win means so much to all of the girls. Casey never stops working out there. She is such a team player that when she reached 100 goals she didn't want a celebration, she turned to her teammates who wanted to cheer and said, "let's just keep playing." Having a player who is so humble really sets the tone for the other players. It was also a great day for one of our freshman, Erika Evan, who scored her first varsity goal and it seemed like a poetic finish because Casey fed her the ball.
The game was back and forth at the start and we ended the first half 7-7. It took the defense a little time to get themselves settled, but what they have been able to do all season is come together and figure out the holes and fix it. They tell me what will work. As a former defender, I respect what they see on the field. Izzy Treon and Shannon lead the defense and their game sense has made all the difference.
