SOL National Conference
PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-20)
The Falcons took over sole possession of first place with their sweep of the Indians on Saturday.
For the Indians, Justin Burns had a team high seven kills to go along with eight digs, one ace and one block. Seth Connors had six kills, two digs and two blocks. Sean D’Arcy added four kills and three digs. Setter Vytis Duncia had 19 assists, eight digs, one block and one service ace. Nick Desautelle had a team-high nine digs, four blocks, two aces and one kill. Ben Green had eight digs. Sean D’Arcy had four kills and three digs. Sean Mealey had one dig and one kill.
Pennsbury is 9-2 overall and 9-1 in conference play while Council Rock North is 6-2 in conference play, 8-3 overall.
Non-league
NORTH PENN 3, LA SALLE 1
The visiting Knights received big performances both offensively and defensively in Saturday’s non-league win over the Explorers.
Setter Drew Coles had 31 assists to go along with one kill, four aces, three blocks and three digs. Jamie Stewart had a huge game defensively, finishing with a team high 28 digs to go along with one ace. Ryan Stewart added 12 digs, one ace and two kills.
Evan Rothmann led a balanced attack with 14 kills as well as one ace and one dig. Kevin Abraham had nine kills and three digs. Isaac Lambert added six kills, one ace, one assist and five digs. Michael Wang had five kills, four aces, three blocks and 14 digs. Zach Jayes contributed five kills, three aces and two blocks while Luke Yoder had two kills, one ace and four digs.
North Penn (6-4 SOL) improved to 8-4 overall.
