SOL National Conference
ABINGTON 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 1 (25-15, 25-21, 18-25, 25-14)
Danny Gonzalez had a monster night at the net, delivering 27 kills to lead the Ghosts to the four-set win. Mario Colavita added six kills and Kenny Wasekanes, five kills. Juan Perez had five blocks, and setter Toulant Kurti haad 41 assists. The defense was led by Sean Dougherty with 41 digs. Kurti had 12 digs, and Wasekanes, 11 digs.
For the Golden Hawks, setter Mitchell Gribman had 21 assists, 13 digs, two blocks and one kill. Andrew Richards led the Hawks at the net with 15 kills to go along with 13 digs, one ace and a passer rating of 2.4. Josh Rowland had a team high 14 digs to go along with two aces. Shevy Fernando added five kills and two digs. Also contributing were Gerry Tasker (two kills, two blocks, two digs), Slava Hlushko (two blocks, one kill), Jatin Singh (six kills, two blocks, one ace) and JD Freed (seven digs).
Abington (7-7, 5-6 SOL) is on the road at Cheltenham on Tuesday. Council Rock South is 2-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-17)
Sean D’Arcy posted a double-double in the Indians’ sweep of the Panthers, finishing with 11 kills and 11 digs to go along with two aces and a 2.45 passing rating. Justin Burns contributed nine kills and a team high 16 digs to go along with one block. Nick Desautelle had 15 digs, four kills and one block while Abe Eldo added 10 digs. Setter Vytis Duncia had 30 assists as well as six digs, one block, one kill and one ace. Seth Connors (four digs, three kills, two aces), Ben Green (five digs, two aces), Nick Strivieri (three kills), Connor Mooney-Moore (two digs, two kills) and Sean Mealey (two digs, four kills, two blocks) also contributed.
Council Rock North is 7-3 in conference play and 9-4 overall.
Non-league
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, UNIONVILLE 0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-21)
The Titans rolled to a sweep of the visiting Indians in a non-league match Monday.
Setter Andrew Rubas had 24 assists to go along with one ace, seven kills, one block and four digs. Jon Zonshein had 11 kills and nine digs. Aidan O’Brian also had 11 kills to go along with two blocks, four assists and 10 digs. Mason Zeo led the defense with 16 digs. He also had one ace, six kills and one block. Ricky Cho led the team at the service line with six aces and 10 points overall. He also had two kills, one block and four digs.
Central Buck South (2-8 SOL) improved to 5-9 overall.
