Tyler Hall – West Chester University (Swimming)
Major: Business
Final list of colleges: West Chester, Delaware, Drexel
Reasons for choosing West Chester: “I chose West Chester because I liked the campus, they had a good team atmosphere, and the coaches gave me a good opportunity.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in swimming at the collegiate level? “I wasn’t competing in swimming the first two years of high school, so when I came back junior year, I wasn’t expecting to swim in college, but I improved to the point where it was a goal for me, and I was able to reach it.”
Coach Jeff Faikish says: “Tyler Hall is someone I’ve coached for many, many years. He’s a Lansdale swimmer, the summer club on Whites Road, and I’ve coached him all the way through until I came back to North Penn with the North Penn Aquatic Club. He took some time off, which in our sport is a very difficult thing to do and to then come back and be successful. Not only did he come back and be successful, he was an immediate contributor to the team both with his personality lightening the mood and with his athletic ability. I had a wonderful opportunity to speak with the West Chester coaches at a swim meet, and they were super excited to see the potential he’ll bring to West Chester’s program, so I wish Tyler the best of luck at West Chester.”
