“It’s been a privilege and honor the last four years to have each and every one of them wear the blue and white on Friday nights for us,” coach George Banas said. “Each one of the coaches feel like they’re an extension to the family, and that’s absolutely true. Each one of these (players) endured so many individual obstacles to get where they’re at. From some people not being able to run across the field without taking a break to others having loved ones in the hospital to others going through season-ending injuries and fighting back to make it to college to others coming back to us after leaving for a short period of time – every one of them has a story. We’re glad and honored to be part of that time in your life. The door is always open to come back whenever it’s needed. I just want to wish you the best of luck. You do have a burden on your shoulders. You’re numbers 31 through 35 that we’ve put through to college, and we don’t have one kid so far that hasn’t made it all four years. That burden is on you guys. I think you’ll do it. Let’s make sure that continues.”
