We started the game extremely flat. After the first 8 minutes we settled down and started applying pressure. We started connecting passes and got our first corner kick. Taylor Moyer hit a laser that Tori Albrecht headed into the back of the net to give us a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The second half was back and forth. We got fouled just outside the box. This time Moyer found Ryan Fitzsimmons on a set piece that we’ve been working on. When it works it looks beautiful and they were able to pull it off to give us the 2-0 win.

This was the first time that any of my players won on East’s turf. After the lackluster effort on Saturday the girls came to play today. Courtney Moylan and Keely McGlone were fantastic in the back, and Erin Fitzsimmons and Shea Lubin were great in the midfield. Now we have to get ready to play the reigning state champion on Friday.
