Central Bucks East Comments
Emma Donnelly led the attack with 2 unassisted goals sending us into the half 2-0. Sr. Grace Melloy finished up the scoring in the second half with a goal off the pads. East played a very physical, strong game connecting on a number of passing sequences all over the field. We head into our Methacton game at home on Saturday feeling confident, prepared and ready to put in a solid effort across the board.

While it is never enjoyable to lose 3-0, I was really pleased with our effort today. After a season-ending injury to one of our top scorers (sophomore Julia Cooper), we changed our lineup and I asked quite a few people to step up and play a different position. They did so without complaint. We gave up two goals in a short span and then settled in and played very well. CB East is a very physical and aggressive team with good skill. Our 4 sophomores and 1 freshman handled the intensity well. Sophomore Grace Haag and freshman Lily Haag had an excellent game. In addition, sophomore Anna Shirley has been a versatile player and has been moved to 5 different positions this season (based on our needs for the game) and has done an excellent job at each position. Sophomore Sarah Cooper played with poise under pressure and sophomore Erin Smith made some excellent runs. While the entire team played well, Sophia Wasyliw, Anna Gillard, Maddie Pearce and Jillian Heilig turned in outstanding performances on defense.
