"PW was able to avenge their 4-3 loss to Owen J. Roberts from earlier this season with a 1-0 win in the district semifinal. OJR applied heavy pressure in the first half earning eight offensive corners, but PW's defensive corner unit remained composed. There were close scoring opportunities for both teams throughout the first half, but the score remained tied entering halftime. PW started the second half on a strong note earning early corners and six minutes into the half, Ava Borkowski was able to capitalize off of a scrum in front of the net by lifting it over OJR's goalkeeper. ORJ continued to apply pressure, but PW's team defense won the day. The team played with grit against a talented OJR squad and defenders, Sarah Trask (GK), Livia Truong, Kayla Link, Kaleigh Missimer, and Carly McGee played outstanding. PW will play for the District Championship on Saturday."
