Sterling Limo Offensive Player of the Week
Adonis Hunter, Cheltenham – The senior quarterback ran for three touchdowns and also threw for 115 yards in Cheltenham’s 42-20 District One 5A semifinal win over Kennett.
Coach Ryan Nase says: “Adonis had a great game, using both his legs and his arm. As usual, he was also very strong with his decision making.”
Sterling Limo Defensive Player of the Week
Nate Edwards, Cheltenham – The senior defensive back had the hit of the night, a pick six plus a fake punt returned for a touchdown in Cheltenham’s 42-20 win over Kennett in the District One 5A semifinal game.
Coach Ryan Nase says: “Nate’s Nate. He’s one of the most unconventional kids out there. He’s everything that embodies Cheltenham football. He has his flaws, he has his struggles, he’s overcome unbelievable adversities in his life, and he just makes plays all over the field. He’s an unbelievable freak of an athlete, he’s got the toughness of an MMA fighter, and he brings it all the time. It helps that his counselor at Cheltenham is an MMA fighter.”
Sterling Limo Special Teams Player of the Week
Lou Liedtka, Cheltenham – The senior kicker played a key role in giving the Panthers field position on kickoffs and punts in Cheltenham’s 42-20 win over Kennett in the District One 5A semifinal game.
Coach Ryan Nase says: “Lou Liedtka had a tremendous night in helping to establish and at times change field position with his kickoffs and punting. Lou is a first-year football player who has seen tremendous success this season handling our kickoffs and punts. He is also a National Merit Commended Scholar and first team All-SOL American Conference goalie on the soccer team.”
