D1 South (AAA):  Plymouth-Whitemarsh finished seventh out of 16 teams at Interboro High School, advancing four wrestlers to the Southeast Regionals scheduled for this Friday and Saturday.  The Colonials crowned two champions with their big men Paolo DiSanto (220) and Mike Miller (285).  Both remain as only a handful of undefeated grapplers moving on to regionals at Souderton H.S.  DiSanto posted a major decision over Wissahickon’s Dan Keller 13-5 in the 220-pound finals.  Both DiSanto and Keller were state qualifiers a year ago.  Miller, like DiSanto, will carry a perfect 29-0 record to the SE Region.  Miller needed the ultimate tiebreaker to win his finals bout at heavyweight, winning 3-2 over Upper Darby’s Julien Laventure.  Miller cruised to the finals with two pins.  P-W’s Ashton Wittenberg will join his teammates after placing fourth at 113-pounds.

Wissahickon captured an individual title as Alex Prieston repeated as the South champ at 126-pounds.  Prieston defeated Kelton Brunner (Strath Haven) by fall in 5:04.  Prieston was the South 120lb champion a year ago.  The Trojans Matt Fritz was the runner-up at 132lbs after suffering a sudden victory loss to Strath Haven’s Chase Barlow (3-1).  Fritz will be in contention to advance to Hershey at Souderton.  Kevin Salmon will join Prieston, Fritz and Keller at regionals after placing fourth at 170-pounds.

Upper Dublin had two runners-up in the South, both lightweights.  Freshman Dan Gorman lost to Interboro’s Victor Quintiliana 14-5 in the 106-pound title tilt.  Colin Higgins dropped his finals match to Ridley’s Chris Green by fall.  Cheltenham added two more SOL wrestlers from the South to advance to regionals with Isaiah Stehman (160) finishing third in a weight class loaded with talent.  Zach Gaffin joins Stehman for the Panthers, as he was fourth at 182-pounds.

D1 North (AAA):  Souderton was the lone SOL school represented in the North Section made up of mostly Pioneer Athletic Conference teams.  Only Tyler Geiger advanced for the regional hosts, as he placed second, losing to Boyertown’s Chance Babb by fall in the finals.  Spring-Ford tallied 239 points with five champions, rolling to the title here.  Boyertown (177.5) was second, narrowly finishing ahead of Owen J Roberts (173.5), who finished third.

District 1 (AA):  Springfield Township wrestled in the AA District 1 and 12 Championships, placing fourth out of eight AA teams represented.  The top three place-winners advanced to the Southeast AA Regional at Bethlehem Freedom H.S.  The Spartans advanced seven wrestlers thru the District tourney.  The Spartans could not crown a champ, but had four runners-up in Tim Wynne (106), Roderick Porter (126), Owen Hoy (138) and Jack Quigg at 152-pounds.  Third place winners were Jaxon Weiss (145), Owen Hussie (170) and Stojan Gradistanac at 182-pounds.

Faith Christian won the District AA tourney with an astonishing seven champions, advancing 10 wrestlers in all to regionals, scoring 203-points and finishing 44.5 points ahead of second place team Lower Moreland (159).
