Season outlook:
“As always, the SOL will be very tough and there are some big arms up and down the conference to contend with this season. But this group is a competitive bunch, and working hard to earn their own spots in the lineup should also benefit them in their prep for tough opponents. Erik Jesberger (2020) spent 2019 injured, but is back and healthy ready to take the reins at SS. Around the infield, veterans to the program such as Joey Christian (2020), Nicky Koch (2020), Alex Kee (2020) and RJ Agriss (2021) will compete for significant innings along with newcomer Brian Neal (2022). Senior multi-sport (football) athlete Nate Brown (2020) returns to baseball in 2020 and looks to compete in the lineup and on the mound. On the mound, a strong group of underclassmen complement the returners, including Dylan Brown (2022), Christian Stevens (RHP 2021), Mike Lennon (2021), Eric Hamilton (2021), Gavin Mikulski (2021). Multi position, multi-sport players Sean Breannan P/OF (2021)(football) and Quinn Holt P/OF (2021) (hockey) will look to contribute right away as well. Seniors lCole Egner (2020) and Charlie Marger (2020)bring their veteran experience to the bump after strong summers in 2019. Outfielder Steven Corrado (2021) looks to anchor down one of the spots after a strong summer and offseason, and Colby Seelig (2021) adds to the depth at the plate and OF. Depth behind the plate will complement a varied battery as Spencer Heilveil (2020) and Colin Orndorff (2021) bring experience and leadership to the field. The league and district will be good this year and every game will be competitive. This year's team is hungry and aware of what it takes to compete every day in the SOL.”
