CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH SOFTBALL PREVIEW

Coach: Kevin Rosini (4^th season at CB South, 6^th overall – head coach at Archbishop Wood 2015-2016)

Assistant coaches: Greg Heydet, Ashley Sullivan (Assistant Varsity coaches), Sean Messa (Head JV)

Last year’s record: 13-9, 9-3 SOL Continental, defeated Pennridge in 1^st round of District One 6A playoffs, lost to Pennsbury in 2^nd Round

Notable losses: Kylie Kenney (Bryant University), Alexa Ortman (LaSalle University), Rebecca Brennan, Kate Hammond, Amanda Regan, Olivia Zoolalian

Key returners: Katie Hines (senior 2B), Maddie Rowley (senior OF), , Tara Tumasz (senior 3B), Sophia DeFebo (senior P), Ally McDaid (senior SS/OF), Olivia Robinson (senior OF), Nicole Pilla (junior C)

Others to watch: Lindsey Bieber (senior SS), Jamie Marks (junior 1B), Braylee Webb (junior OF), Suzie Williams (sophomore INF/OF)

Strength: 11 returning players with varsity experience, including 6 from 2018 District One 6A Championship Team

Question Marks: Entirely new pitching staff

Outlook: “Central Bucks South Softball strives to be competitive once again in a very strong SOL Continental and in the highly competitive District One 6A field. Hines (.409 in 2019), Rowley (.422), Tumasz (.407), and Pilla look to lead the offense while DeFebo takes over on the mound after the graduation of Kenney. An experienced nucleus and quality depth will be keys to another successful season.”
