NESHAMINY BOYS’ SOCCER PREVIEW

Coach:  Tom Foley—9^th season 

Assistant coaches: Jim McCourt and Zach Albarran 

Last year’s record: 14-8 overall, 8-4 SOL, 2^nd Place—Won 2 district games Rustin and Horsham—Lost heartbreakers to Boyertown 2-1 (late) and CB West in OT 

Notable losses: Lost Center Back Alex Daeche---All other starters return 

Key returners: Mike Albarran (12^th), Cole Jackson (12^th), Gavin Rowan (12^th), Trevor Rush (12^th), Lou Salmi (12^th), Ryan Schoenemann (12^th) and ian Siwinski (12^th) 

Others to watch:  Richie Faul (11^th) and Connor Steele (11^th) 

Strengths:  “We can run a lot of attacking players at opponents and our back line should be very strong.”

Question mark:  “Can we clog up our center of our midfield, stop quick counters and limit the turnovers?”

Outlook:  “We have a lot of players returning that had varsity playing time. We have several player that can score goals and if we pay attention to playing team defense and limiting turnovers, I think we’ll have a successful season.”
