North Penn - 0
First goal came with 13 left in the first half. Senior Averie Doughty combined well in the final third with Junior Katie Pazdziorko to win a corner kick. Pazdziorko's ensuing cross on the corner was a dangerous ball that fell to sophomore Alexis Stefanowicz who was able to poke home the first goal of the match.
Senior goalkeeper Morgan Molyneaux earned the shutout, after a flurry of dangerous set pieces from the Knights in the first half. Molyneaux showed again that she's an important leader on our team, commanding the ball and giving direction to the backline throughout the match.
Junior Avery Nogami, who had another stand-out performance, had a chance to make it 2-0 three minutes before half time. After unleashing a powerful shot on frame, North Penn's goalkeeper did just enough to parry the shot wide of the post.
In the second half, Souderton ramped up the intensity and was finding themselves in increasingly dangerous areas. With 30 minutes left in the half, Pazdziorko broke free on a signature unrelenting run past North Penn's defense to finish off an impressive solo goal. Shortly after, Nogami and Pazdziorko combined again, but Pazdziorko just fired wide.
Souderton had a number of chances throughout the half, including a well-worked ball from Junior Cait DiCandilo who pinged a long diagonal ball to Nogami down the sideline. Nogamie beat her defender to find senior Hannah Alderfer for a shot on frame that was saved well.
Souderton was able to put the game out of reach with about ten minutes left as Nogami sprung Pazdziorko on a counter attack. Pazdziorko ran the length of the field and fired her shot off the post and into the top corner.
