WILLIAM TENNENT 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-23)
The Panthers celebrated playing their first home match in front of fans with a sweep of the visiting Redskins. Each girl, according to coach Brian Bassler, received two passes to the game.
Juniors Maggie McGlynn and Mayley Morena came up big for the Panthers.
“I am just really proud of the way our girls have come together this year,” Bassler said. “This year has always been about much more than volleyball for us. It has been about being a family and a part of something.
“Our seniors have been such great leaders and are showing our underclassmen the right way to do things both on and off the court.”
The Panthers won set two with four sophomores and a freshman in the lineup. It’s not the first time this has happened – that same group rallied from a 17-24 deficit to defeat Pennsbury 26-24.
“One senior, our setter Morgan Farre has really just pushed herself,” Bassler said. “She was a practice player her first year after not making the team and kept working. She is earning her varsity letter and is just so great to our younger players. She exemplifies what we are trying to do at William Tennent volleyball.”
PENNSBURY 3, BENSALEM 0
Izzy Marinelli led the Falcons to a win over the Owls, finishing with 14 kills, five digs, three aces and a block. Carissa VanVeen led the Falcons’ service game with six aces to go along with two digs, one kill and one block. Janae Scott added four kills and one block while Ava Sciolla had three kills and a block. Amelia Stefanowski had five digs while Grace Sobey had three aces and two digs. Kat Croteau chipped in two kills.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, SOUDERTON 1 (25-15, 20-25, 25-11, 25-20)
The Bucks and Indians split the first two sets, but the Bucks won the next two to earn the win.
Jada Reichwein led the Bucks with 11 kills, three aces, one block and 14 digs. Maggie McCusker had a busy night with 14 assists, 15 digs, five kills, four aces and one block. Mackenzie Lund and Alexis Barklage both had eight kills. Lund also had four aces and two blocks and Barklage, two blocks and four digs. Erin Ferello had 10 assists, five aces and six digs.
For the Indians Alyssa Reiner led the attack with eight kills to go along with 11 digs and one ace. McKenna Murawski led the defense with 13 digs as well as four kills and one ace. Amanda Swan-Geiger contributed three kills, two blocks and two aces, and Isabelle Feliciani had 11 digs and one ace. Natalie Truskowski had four kills and two blocks.
“We are happy with the progress we continue to make through the season,” Souderton coach Cori Watson said. “We battled hard against CB West, and our scrappy defense kept us competitive through the match. We are going to continue to work hard in practice on minimizing errors as we approach our last matches of the season.”

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, WISSAHICKON 0
Hatboro-Horsham extended its season record to 8-0 with a sweep of Wissahickon on Friday night. Senior Maddy Murphy ran the offense with 25 assists with four aces. Senior libero Jess Howard anchored the defense with 11 digs and four aces. Sophomore middle hitter Jade Lauzier had 10 kills with juniors Grace Howard and Ava Santo had eight kills Juniors Nastya Tsetsko and Isabelle Bombas added three kills each.
The Hatters take on New Hope Solebury on Wednesday night at home.
Thursday, Oct. 15
PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, ABINGTON 0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-14)
Plymouth Whitemarsh celebrated its seniors with a hard fought win over the visiting Ghosts. The Colonials were disciplined on defense, which provided many offensive opportunities. Their service game was up and down, but Rylie Watton went on a long service run to close out the final set. Aja Smith and Jordan O’Brien led the offensive attack while Sophia Repholz, Julia Walker and Kirsten Swider picked up ball after ball on defense in a great win for the Colonials.
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, NESHAMINY 0
Edan Kauer led the Golden Hawks to a sweep of the Redskins, finishing with 15 digs and 11 kills in an impressive outing. Katie Rodman added 11 digs. Emma Helverson led the Hawks’ service game with six aces to go along with two blocks and three kills. Avery Vaughan had six kills and two blocks. Kyleigh Bowman and Mattie Melekos each had four kills. Bowman also had seven digs, and Melekos, three digs. Alissa Helverson added four digs while Lili Lauch had five digs and one kill, and Claire Goetz had three digs.
