CENTRAL BUCKS EAST BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Head Coach: Erik Henrysen, 11th year

Assistant coaches: Brian Yannarella, Jimmy Katasak, Jonmichael McArdle, and Joe Laphen

Last year’s record: 15-11 overall; (7-5 SOL Continental), #12 Seed AAAAAA District 1 Tournament, Lost in final round of District Playbacks

Notable losses: Tyler Young (HM All-League; Lehigh-Baseball), Chris Charlton, Jacob Rotondo, Christian Rivera (Cairn-Basketball)

Key returners: Joe Jackman (12/Guard/1st Team All-League/1st Team All-Intell), Jack Hamilton (12/Forward/HM All League), Jason Markowitz (12/Guard), Anthony Giordano (12/Forward), Brendan Harte (12/Forward), Shane Kennedy (12/Guard)

Others to watch: Jacob Cummiskey (9/G), Liam Cummiskey (11/G), Brett Young (11/G), Aidan Weaver (11/F), Tyriq Toney-Bailey (11/G), Joshua Lyzinski (11,C)

Strengths: Outside shooting, Team quickness, Unselfish play, Roster depth

Question Marks:  Replacing senior leadership

Outlook:  “Expectations are very high for this group after coming within seconds of another appearance in the state tournament.  Six seniors return, along with a very good junior class and an ultra-talented freshman in Jacob Cummiskey.  Jackman and Hamilton will lead the way again as two of SOL’s best, but contributions from anyone on the varsity roster is not out of the question.
