Reasons for choosing Elmira College: “Their education is really good – 99 percent of their students finish their internship before they graduate, and their campus is beautiful. As soon as I saw it, I knew that’s where I was going. Also, their baseball coach was awesome when I was talking with him..jpg)
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “It was always a dream of mine to play college baseball at any level. It really set in my freshman year that I was going to be able to do it as long as I put everything I had into it. The summer after my junior year, I had to really go at it because I didn’t have my junior season.”
Coach Tim Monaghan says: “Logan’s an extremely hard worker both in the classroom and on the athletic field. He’s made himself into a nice pitcher through his hard work. He’s got really high character, and he’s one of those kids that’s really easy to root for. He does all the right things. He listens, he’s coachable, and he’s a great example of what it means to be a Tiger. He’ll be in the mix to pitch a lot of innings for us this year, and he also plays first base, so he’ll be competing for at-bats at first base too. I’m just really proud of him that he found a spot, and he can continue to play at the next level. He’s a left-handed pitcher, so he’s going to carve out a niche for himself somewhere just based on his work ethic and the quality person he is.”
