BENSALEM 3, PENNSBURY 0

The Owls continued their strong start with a sweep of the Falcons.

Luis Rodriguez, according to coach Tim Linehan, had a huge kill to close out the first set, and Adam Nevrotski had two timely blocks.

Dylan Young (seven kills, one ace), Tyler Hoang (six kills, two aces) and Om Patel (four kills) led the offense for Bensalem. Tommy Lee (two aces) served well for the Owls, who improved to 5-1 on the season.

 

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-19)

The Indians notched their fourth win in five matches with their sweep of the Golden Hawks.

Justin Burns led the Indians with 11 kills, one ace and 10 digs. Brady Klein added six kills, four aces and 11 digs. Dylan Vanschaick (14 assists, three aces) and Geoffrey Sandhanamudi (11 assists, seven digs) split setting duties. Martin Nguyen’s 14 digs led the defense. Luke Sill had four kills, one block and three digs.

 

SOL American Conference

 

NORTH PENN 3, PENNRIDGE 1 (25-19, 27-25, 19-25, 25-22)

The Knights knocked off the Rams in a strong showing, winning the first two sets – including a pivotal second set – and then closing out the match with a win in the fourth set.

“It was a total team effort for the Knights in the victory tonight,” NP coach Tim Moyer said. “They played as a team and fought hard for the win.”

Billy Dooney, Aaron Foulke, Aiden Greene and Vendant Patel took turns delivering big finishes at the net. Dooney led the way with 15 kills to go along with six digs and four blocks. Foulke added 12 kills and seven blocks, and Green had 10 kills and three blocks. Patel added eight kills. Ryan Heng led the Knights’ defense with 17 digs and four aces. Setter Brian Landes had 36 assists, two aces, six digs and four blocks.

For the Rams, Ryan Benscoter had another big night, finishing with 21 kills, six digs and three aces. Tyler Johnson had seven kills and two blocks while Skyler Ammon added six kills and five digs. Thomas McKinney had five kills, six digs and three aces. Dan Detwiler led the defense with nine digs to go along with three aces. Setter Riley Kodidek had 34 assists.

 

QUAKERTOWN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-20)

The Panthers evened their conference record at 3-3 with a sweep of the Bucks.

Micah Reinford (seven kills, three blocks, one ace, seven digs), Jared Leatherman (seven kills, five digs) and Zander Marks (six kills, four blocks, six digs) led a balanced attack. Setter Cody Steiert had 21 assists to go along with four kills and three digs. Also contributing were Jeff Sinsel (three kills, two blocks, one ace, seven digs), Kurt Glaeser (three aces, four digs) and Brett Musselman (one kill).

 

UPPER DUBLIN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-18)

The Flying Cardinals upped their record to a perfect 6-0 in conference play with a sweep of the Patriots.

Setter Spencer Beidner handed out 25 assists and also had three aces, one kill and 12 digs. David Levin led a balanced attack with 10 kills, four aces, one block and six digs. Collin Ross (six kills, one block, four digs), Trevor Molloy (three aces, six kills, one block, five digs) and Colin Dowdell (four kills, two blocks, one dig) also contributed.

East was led by Josh Lyzinski and Matt LaBouliere with five kills apiece. Liam Ostrander dished out 11 assists. The Patriots defensive leaders were LaBouliere with eight digs and four blocks, Aiden Leichter with seven digs, and AJ Helveston with six digs.

 

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0

The Indians rolled to a sweep of the visiting Titans on Tuesday.

Aidan Wunderly led a balanced attack with eight kills. Setter Nate Brown had 15 assists, to go along with six digs and two kills. Kaivalya Bhatt had six digs, and Levi Leatherman had six assists, three digs and one kill.
