Fallon Grandinetti – Gwynedd Mercy University (Basketball)
Major: Nursing
Reasons for choosing Gwynedd Mercy: “Nursing program and basketball”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “Playing AAU sports and coaches telling me that I should play in college.”
Coach Brittany Bamford says: “I have been Fallon’s basketball coach for the past three years, and before that when she was younger, she came to all our clinics, our summer leagues. She’s been a very dedicated player with this program. Her junior year she was one of our leading scorers and leaders in steals before unfortunately she had a knee injury. With her incredible work ethic and love for the game, she was able to come back for her senior season. After getting the attention of Gwynedd Mercy with her shooting ability – in fact in one game her junior year, she had four 3-pointers against Salisbury. I also had the pleasure of teaching Fallon in class. She not only works hard on the court but off the court as well. Her compassion and caring for others is definitely going to be an attribute that’s going to make her an excellent nurse one day. Thank you, Fallon, for your commitment to our Quakertown girls’ basketball program. I can’t wait until we continue to see you in your future basketball career.”
