NORTH PENN 3, WISSAHICKON 0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-12)
The Knights used a balanced attack to earn a sweep of the Trojans.
Katherine Hanley had seven kills and led a strong service game with six aces. Kiley McTaggert also had seven kills and added six digs. Emma Thornton contributed six kills and five digs. Leila Eid led the Knights’ defense with 18 digs to go along with two aces. Setter Charlotte Patterson handed out 30 assists and also had three kills.
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, ABINGTON 0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-22)
The Patriots received contributions up and down their lineup in a spirited win over the Ghosts.
Junior setter Katie Monaghan had 23 assists, one block and nine digs, and senior libero Chloe Metille had seven aces, two kills, one assist and 14 digs. Junior Kate Malobisky (one block, four digs, two aces, 10 kills) led a trio of outside hitters. Megan Colbert (two aces, one kill, one assist, seven digs) and Samantha Sharp (one dig, one kill) also contributed. Junior middles Maddie Ware (one ace, eight kills, seven blocks, three digs, one assist) and Aimee Wold (four blocks and six kills) combined for 14 kills and 11 blocks in a dominant effort. Senior right side Emily Curran added six kills, three blocks and one assist. Senior defensive specialist Lexi Knorr had eight digs and a 2.3 on serve receive.
For the Ghosts, Kenya Lucas had a big night with 17 kills, and Lila Stonehouse also finished with double-digit kills with 11. Setter Izzy Reilly had 26 assists.
COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, UPPER DUBLIN 1
Sparked by the dominant effort at the net of Edan and Nala Kauer, the Golden Hawks earned the non-league win over the Flying Cardinals.
Both Kauers had 11 kills and two aces while Edan also added 19 digs and Nala had four. Avery Vaughan also had a big night, finishing with nine kills, three blocks and one ace. Setter Lil Lauch had 24 assists, six digs and one ace. Lindsey Korn (15 digs, three aces), Cadence Palmer (11 digs) and Shani Sun (10 digs, two aces, one kill) made important contributions defensively. Also chipping in were Mattie Melekos (four kills), Gracie DeSaro (three kills) and Sophia Ranieri (one block, two kills).
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-18)
The Titans were led by the standout efforts of outside hitters Millie Grove and Breckyn Lyond. While Grove had 13 kills, five digs, five aces and one assist, Lyond added 11 kills, six aces and two digs. Senior setter Shannon Rector had 26 assists to go with four aces. Senior libero Rian Grant had 12 digs and one ace, and senior middle hitter Erin Mangan had three kills.
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, SOUDERTON 0
Rock North kept its perfect record intact with a sweep of the visiting Indians.
For Souderton, Alyssa Reiner led the way at the net with 14 kills to go along with three aces, three digs and one block. Setter Nikki Hamilton had 22 assists and two digs. Alexa Mazzeo added nine digs, and Alli Sauerwald had five kills, two aces and one dig.
