Our team came out really strong in the first half, with what we felt was dominant performance. Unfortunately after 40 minutes we didn't have anything tangible to show for all of the possession we had and the chances we created. It felt like we spent the whole half in the final third, and our midfield trio of Nicole Schulingkamp, Alexis Stefanowicz, and Hailey Rohr were doing a good job of controlling the tempo of the game. Honestly, it was one of the better halves of our season, and it looked the team we know we can be, and that was what we talked about at half time.

Almost immediately at the start of the second half we were beat on a counter down the flank, followed by a well-placed cross to the back post for a finish on Pennsbury's first shot of the match. At that point, I felt like some of the air came out of our sails a bit and the team we saw in the first half wasn't there anymore. Pennsbury did a good job of capitalizing on our slip up and quickly added a second goal in the first five minutes of the half as we were working to collect ourselves and bounce back. We were able to get our footing back and were able to come up with a decent response. A long through-ball over the top, I believe from Maggie Fisher, found Avery Nogami in behind Pennsbury's back line for a really nice breakaway finish. From then on, Pennsbury seemed happy to sit in and absorb pressure with the lead in-hand, which ultimately prevented us from grabbing a second goal.

Front to back I think the team had some really good performances all around today, but unfortunately we didn't have it for a full 80 minutes. Ultimately, we were undone by mistakes that occurred in the span of 4 minutes and couldn't dig ourselves out of the hole.
