SOL Continental

 

NORTH PENN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-20)

The Knights earned a sweep of the Bucks in Continental Conference action.

For the Bucks Alexis Barklage led the way with 10 kills, two aces and one block, and Mackenzie Lund had five kills, one ace and two blocks. Lily Rasnake contributed six kills and two digs, and Rachel Hu added five kills and eight digs. Alexa Lee (13 assists, nine digs) and Erin Ferello (11 assists, 10 digs) shared setting duties.

 

SOL American

 

ABINGTON 3, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-12, 25-15)

Kenya Lewis – sidelined for close to two weeks due to COVID protocols – celebrated her return to the lineup with a career performance, slamming home 26 kills in the Ghosts’ win over the Lions.

“She was unbelievable,” Abington coach Dan Marsh said. “Unfortunately, not everyone else played really well. We struggled at times, but Kenya carried us.”

Lila Stonehouse added 14 kills while setter Izzy Reilly had 40 assists.

 

Non-league

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, NESHAMINY 1 (25-16, 18-25, 25-21, 25-16)

Senior outside hitter Millie Grove turned in yet another dominant effort, contributing 25 kills, 15 digs, two blocks and two aces to lead the Titans to a win over the Redskins.

Junior outside hitter Breckyn Loynd (12 kills, 12 digs) and junior middle Katie Canzannese (10 kills, five digs) also had double-digit kills. Senior setter Shannon Rector dished out 45 assists to go along with 15 digs, and two aces, and senior libero Rian Grant had 18 digs, five aces and four assists.

Also contributing for the Titans were senior defensive specialist Morgan Schaefer (11 digs), senior middle Erin Mangan (three kills, two digs), senior opposite Olivia Dallmer (two blocks, two digs) and junior defensive specialist Julia Daniele (two digs).

 

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, PENNRIDGE 0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-19)

The Indians rolled to a sweep of the Rams, upping their record to a perfect 15-0.

Senior outside hitter Ashleigh Adams led the way with 18 kills, 16 digs, two blocks and one ace, and junior outside hitter Ainsley Jordan added nine kills, six digs and three aces. Senior setter Kate Logan handed out 24 assists, four digs and one ace.

Also contributing for the Indians were sophomore libero Emma McNulty (four digs, two aces), junior opposite Sophia Lentz (two kills, two digs, one ace), senior setter Becca Wintjen (five digs, two aces), senior defensive specialist Arushi Singh (two digs, one assist), senior middle Bella Slough (one block) and senior outside hitter Julia Murphy (one block).

 

DOWNINGTOWN WEST 3, SOUDERTON 0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-19)

The visiting Whippets earned a sweep of the Indians in Monday’s non-league match.

For the Indians, Alyssa Reiner had six kills and one block while Alexa Mazzeo led the defense with seven digs to go along with one ace. Setter Nikki Hamilton had 15 assists and three digs, and Alli Sauerwald contributed four kills, four digs and three aces.
