We lost 3-1 to Lower Moreland. For us, it was a tale of two halves. Once LM scored their second goal we lost some focus, got frustrated and reverted back to some old habits. We knew they were going to come out quick and put a lot of pressure on us from the start. They have a lot of speed, are physical and we really had to regroup at half time. We were down 3-0. We talked about putting the first half behind us and using the second half to show everyone the team we’ve become. And that’s what we did. We connected passes, did a better job of pressuring the ball, and communicated more. I knew a goal was coming as we had several chances. It happened on a free kick when Taden Versaw-Barnes sent in a great ball that Kayla Brockington read perfectly, got a good touch and finished. It was an awesome moment as Kayla, one of our captains, has shown nothing but fight and true leadership all season long. I’m proud of our team and the grit we showed as we did what we always do, fight till the end.
