COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, BOYERTOWN 1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-22, 25-23)
The Indians advanced to Tuesday’s District One 4A semifinal, thanks to a hard-fought win over the visiting Bears. With the win, the Indians upped their record to 20-0.
Senior captain Ashleigh Adams was once again in a league of her own, putting up dazzling numbers that included 32 kills, 28 digs, three aces and one block. Junior outside hitter Ainsley Jordan added nine kills, 14 digs and five aces.
Senior captain Kate Logan, the team’s setter, handed out 41 assists and also had five digs, one ace, one block and one kill. Senior defensive specialist Arushi Singh contributed 14 digs and three aces while sophomore libero Emma McNulty added 12 digs, two aces and one assist.
Also contributing were senior middle hitter Bella Slough (three kills, two digs, one block) junior opposite Sophia Lentz (three digs, two aces, two blocks), senior outside Julia Murphy (one kill, one block, two digs) and senior setter Becca Wintjen (five digs).
Council Rock North will host #4 Downingtown West in a semifinal match on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
