JT Anderosky – DeSales University (Baseball)
Major: Undecided
Final list of colleges: DeSales, Arcadia, Chestnut Hill, West Chester
Reasons for choosing DeSales: “I just really liked the whole coaching staff, I really liked the feel a lot when I was on campus, and I like the area.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “I pretty much from the beginning wanted to play. I always had a dream of playing in college. When I first started playing high school, that’s when it became surreal that I really needed to focus and do what I needed to get it done to be able to reach my goal.”
Coach Kevin Bray says: “JT is a great kid, super athletic. He was a lanky outfielder for us as a sophomore and then really came into his own as a junior, and that showed, leading the team in average, doubles and then was a first team performer for us and ultimately a Carpenter Cup selection as well. I think DeSales is a great fit for him. He’ll be able to get onto the field immediately and make an impact. The program at DeSales has a rich tradition, and we’re excited that he made that selection and think he’ll make a good outfielder for them.”

Reasons for choosing Elizabethtown: “From the baseball and the academic standpoint, it was the school that made the most
sense. It was the most balanced and where I could have the best opportunity for baseball as well as academics.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “COVID actually gave me my best shot – I had so much time to get in the weight room, build myself, get on good throwing regiments. It put me on the map where I could now compete at a higher level. College baseball is something I’ve always wanted to do my whole life. Now that it’s actually happened, I think it’s awesome.”
Coach Kevin Bray says: “Justin Marraccini is a really good left-handed pitcher for us. He came into some really tough situations last year and excelled. We definitely are excited for him to get to the next level at Elizabethtown. He’s continued to work hard the last couple of seasons on and off the field and it shows. Mechanically, he’s really improved, and just all around, we’re excited for what he can do this season and into the future at Elizabethtown as well.”

Reasons for choosing West Virginia: “The first time I stepped on campus for a tour for my sister – I knew I wanted to go there. It was really pretty, and I really felt at home there. Also, the
facilities are really nice, the team is really good, and there’s a family feel there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “I’ve been playing t-ball since I was four. I played hockey for a little bit, but baseball and hockey are so expensive that you can’t really keep up with both, so I chose baseball. Ever since ninth grade, I’ve known I wanted to go and play in school, and so in 10th grade, we really got into it. It was an exciting ride the whole way through.”
Coach Kevin Bray says: “Robby’s a special kid. Physically, at 6-8, he’s an imposing figure on the mound. He’s done a really great job in the weight room over the last two seasons of adding weight onto his frame, so he definitely projects well for the Division 1 level. As a human being, Robby is great. He’s a fun-loving guy, he has so much respect for his teammates, and they have respect for him as well.
“He’s a different kind of kid. The first time I met him – you see this big, goofy kid, but Robby has really come into his own. We expect big, big things out of him this season. The sky’s the limit for Robby. It all depends on continuing to put in the work and having the mental strength to continue to work hard.”
