On Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, North Penn senior Kaitlyn Green was recognized for committing to continue her acrobatics/tumbling career at Frostburg University.
Kaitlyn Green – Frostburg University (Acrobatics & Tumbling)
Major: Elementary Education with a minor in coaching
Final list of colleges: Frostburg, Lander University
Reasons for choosing Frostburg: “I ultimately chose Frostburg for so many reasons. The second that I got on campus – I met the team, I met the coaches. They’re all just so hungry to be better than they were the day before and to win conference championships and to make it to nationals. I just want to be surrounded by people who consistently want to be better. I love the girls, I love the team. It just felt like home.”
Liberty Bell Athletics coaches Brittney Miller, Emily Repko & Brad Davis said: “We would like to express how proud we are of her for signing with Frostburg University to compete as part of the acrobatics and tumbling team. Competing in college has always been a goal of hers, but Kaitlyn has not had the easiest road to get to where she is today. The last year and a half, she has had to come back from a torn ACL and work through the months of the gym being closed due to COVID. She has never let that stop her. She has come back stronger and more confident than before. Kaitlyn is a model teammate and friend. She works each day in the gym to get better than the last. As coaches, we would like to thank her and her family for trusting us with Kaitlyn’s gymnastics career and allowing us to help her fulfill her dreams of competing in college. Frostburg University is very lucky to have you, Kaitlyn.”
