“Coach Kline did a great job preparing for us,” New Hope head coach Steve Polinsky said. “They really took us out of the things we like to do.
Wissahickon was paced by Freeman, McKeary and Werrier who all finished in double-digits scoring and took a 0-point lead into the break.
Both teams traded baskets in the third quarter with Wissahickon pushing its lead to 12 points early in the fourth quarter before New Hope began its charge.
Izzy Elizondo led the Lions with 17 points and junior Reagan Crencik added 15 in the losing effort. The Lions also lost senior guard Madi Fasti early in the third quarter to a head injury.
“We didn’t shoot the ball well today,” Polinsky said. “We spotted them too big of a lead and it’s hard to get it back when shots aren’t falling”
