Last year’s record:13-8 lost in 1st round of playoffs
Notable losses:Maggie Formichelli (Stockton)
Key returners: Our team is lucky in that we lost only one everyday starter.
Jr. SS Megan Klein (set multiple offense records last year including having 43 hits). True triple threat who can bunt, slap and hit for power.
Jr. 1st Base Lina Sponheimer (has led team in RBIs her first two seasons). I’ve seen her power grow each year but unlike a lot of power hitters her hits for average too.
Jr. Pitcher Kayla Clarkson - Kay didn’t get to see a ton of mound time behind Maggie, she is going to surprise a lot of people this season. She throws the ball hard and has a wicked change up. We will for sure miss her speed and presence in the OF but she is sure to be a presence in the Circle
Sophomore C - Ashlyn Merz -Ashlyn has put in a ton of work since last season, she looks like a completely new person both behind the plate and with a bat. Really look for her to make an impact this year.
Seniors Ayva Knowles and Camryn Pickering return as outfield starter again this this season. Both these kids have an uncanny ability to make catches you’re not sure how they make. Joining them in the Outfield is Sophomore Adrianna Vargas who moves from her 2nd base position.
Senior 3rd Baseman Destiny Howard returns to 3rd base. Destiny is one of the players we are looking at to help replace some of Maggie’s offense.
