CENTRAL BUCKS EAST BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Head Coach: Erik Henrysen, 3rd year
Assistant coaches: Ed Dixon, Brian Yannarella, Jimmy Katasak, and Pat McLaughlin
Last year’s record: 9-13; league (6-8 league)
Notable losses: Stephen Topley (2nd Team All-League, Co-Captain), Liam Gallagher (Co-Captain), Ryan O’Neil (3rd Team All-League)
Key returners: Matt Stauffer (12/Forward), Danny Reilly (12/Guard), Brendan McLaughlin (11/Guard)
Others to watch: Kevin Phelps (12/Forward), Anthony Roggio (12/Center), Ben Kardane (11/Guard), Brendan O’Neil (11/Guard), Kyle Clow (11/Guard), Tommy Strasburger (9/Guard)
Strengths: Matt Stauffer is back healthy and has rebounded from injury. The guys enjoy playing with each other and have great approach to the game. Competition is very high as only one starter (Stauffer) has returned from last year.
Question Marks: Who will step up? Can the younger guys in the program push for varsity playing time?
Outlook: With only one returning starter, competition at practice is extremely high. The entire program had a tremendous off-season and put in a lot of work. We are looking to get better every day. The team is anxious to prove that they can compete with anyone.
