CENTRAL BUCKS EAST GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Liz Potash (6th year)

Assistant coaches:  Monica Stolic, Ron Chiarolanza

Last year’s record:  16-10 overall, 7-5 SOL, state qualifier

Notable losses:  Bailey McManus, Sophia Mancuso, Gina Russo, Audrey LaBouliere

Key returners:  Elyse Shine (12/forward), Caroline Pla (12/guard), Skylar Krause (12/guard)

Others to watch:  Mia Salvati (10/guard), Gabby Wilga (10/forward), Emily Chmiel (10/center), Aubrey DeAngelis (9/guard)

Strengths/Question Marks:  The team returns five players from last year’s team, two starters and our sixth player, however the rest of the team is new to varsity basketball.  

Outlook:  “The team is looking to get back to the district and state playoffs but will need consistent play from the senior class led by Elyse Shine, Caroline Pla and Skylar Krause.  The sophomore class and freshman, Aubrey DeAngelis, will need to be a strong supporting cast to get the team back to states for the third year in a row.”
