CENTRAL BUCKS EAST GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Liz Potash (7)

Assistant coaches: Monica Stolic, Ron Chiarolanza

Last year’s record:  14-11 overall, 7-5 league, lost in the 3rd round of district playoffs

Notable losses:  Caroline Pla, Skylar Krause, Elyse Shine (medical redshirt Jefferson University)

Key returners:  Gabby Wilga (11/F, all league honorable mention), Emily Chmiel (11/F), Mia Salvati (11/G), Aubrey DeAngelis (10/G)

Strengths: Return an experienced team that all played together last season, with the exception of freshman guard, Katie Finnan.

Question Marks: The team only has one senior on the roster, Sydney Ives. Leadership will need to come from all upperclassmen.

Outlook:  “The team is excited for the 2019-2020 season as we return four players that gained much experience last year as freshmen and sophomores. We are looking to compete for the top spot in the league and advance further in the district tournament than last year. The team is motivated after last year’s loss in the playback round of districts and committed to accomplishing goals that were not reached last year.”
