CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH FIELD HOCKEY PREVIEW 

 

Head Coach: Pat Toner (6th year at CB South; 25+ overall) 

 

Assistant Coaches: Kelli Chioffe (5th year) Kerry Dietzel (4th year) 

 

Last year’s record: 6-6-1 (Continental Conference 4th Place) 16th seed in District One; upset Downingtown West 1st Round in OT, upset Wissahickon in 2nd round, lost to eventual District Champion CB East, 1-0. (Qualified for States but only the District Champ could attend)

 

Notable losses:  Sophia Wasyliw (LaSalle), Alyssa Endrick (Lock Haven), Braylee Webb, Gwen DiPrinzio

 

Key returners:   Anna Shirley (SR – midfield), Julia Cooper (SR – defense), Erin Smith (SR – offense), Sarah Cooper (SR – defense), Grace Haag (SR - defense), Lily Haag (JR – defense), Bella Schute (JR-midfield), Megan Reilly (JR-offense), Marielle Mauri (JR-midfield) 

 

Players to watch: Emma Kraft (SO – GK), Sam Thomas (SO – midfield), Rebecca Zakrzewski (JR – offense)

 

Outlook: “We have been working hard in the off-season. We have some holes to fill due to graduation. If we can fill those holes, we should be competitive in our very strong league.”
