CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Beth Mattern (16thyear)

Assistant coaches: Gary Christian (10thyear), Patrick Chapman (1styear), and Emily Halloran (1styear)

Last year’s record: 13-12 overall  (8-8 SOL)

Notable losses:  Taylor Hinkle (Holy Family University), Mackenzie Erb, Sammy Schiesser, Alyssa D’Orazio, and Maddie Tantum

Key returners:  Yordana (Yoyo) Samayoa (Jr. Point Guard), Jenna McCartin (Sr. Guard)

Others to watch:  Casey Balkir (Jr. Guard), Mia Klein (Soph. Guard), Ella Wheeler (Soph. Guard), Jules Tropea (Fr. Forward)

Strengths:  “This team has great team chemistry and is excited to work to prove themselves each game.  We are looking forward to seeing what this group can accomplish.”

Outlook: “Once again our conference should be a tough nightly battle and one that hopefully our youth will grow from playing against some of the best basketball players and teams in SEPA.”
