CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Coach:  Beth Mattern, 6^th year

Assistant coaches: Rick Weeks and Ali Rosati

Last year’s record:  9-5 SOL, 15-9 overall

Notable losses:  Madison Vitelli, Kate McMenamin and Tori Steinberg (Ursinus College)

Key returners: Rachel Falkowski, Sr./G and Alysha Lofton, Jr./G

Others to watch:  Lauren Mosher, Jr. /F, Amanda Schneider, Sr. /G, Amber Eife, Sr. /F and Kelly Joerger Sr. /G

Strengths:  So far, we have had great team chemistry in the gym, and it has been a hard-working enjoyable place to be to start the season.  We are hoping our athletic abilities will lead to success on the court.

Outlook:  Having lost to both of our sister schools twice last school year, we have a lot of work to do to be competitive in both the league and district. Obviously, we are looking to improve our standing from last season in both league and district play. Our five returning varsity players from last season are excited for the challenges that lay ahead and the prospects of the current season.
