CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW

 

Coach:  Kurt Godfrey (6Th Year Head Coach, 7th with the program) 

 

Assistant coaches:  Suzanne Carrieri & Michelle Carrieri  

 

Last year’s record: 18-6 Overall, 17-5 SOL (Second Round Playoff Loss) 

 

Notable losses:  Allie Burke (American University – D1), Lizzie Shirley (Jefferson University – D2), Carly Carroll, Mckenna Clow, and Ashley Scott    

 

Key returners:  Courtney Pohl (Senior -OH), Millie Grove (Junior – OH), Shannon Rector (Junior – Setter), Katie Canzanese (Sophomore – MH)  

 

Others to watch:  Rian Grant (Junior – DS/L), Dana Durkin (Senior – MH), Olivia Justus (Senior – OPP), Breckyn Lyond (Sophomore – OPP), Shayne Prudish (Senior – Setter/OPP), Jillian Cardinal (Senior – OPP/DS)  

 

Outlook:  “With a shortened season, we’re looking to keep the momentum from last year and build upon it.  Key losses on offense and defense will need to be worked on, but we believe we can compete very well in our conference.  We are excited to finally get the season started and look forward to a new conference schedule.”
