CENTRAL BUCKS WEST BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Coach: Adam Sherman (20th season)
Assistant coaches: Pat Furst, Sherrod Higginbotham
Last year’s record: 15-9 overall; 8-4 SOL (SOL Tournament, District Playoffs)
Notable losses: We graduated 10 seniors from last years’ team. We will be looking to replace starters Mika Munari, Owen Haney, Jack Neri and Danny Miller.
Key returners: Teddy Spratt (Sr. Guard)
Others to watch: Payton Davis (Sr. Guard), Nick Martino (Sr. Guard), Donte Mancini (Jr. Guard), John Lee (Jr. Forward), Max Slaymaker (So. Forward), Charlie Cashman (So. Guard), Joe Gallagher (So. Guard)
Strengths/Question Marks: “This year’s team is very inexperienced. We were hoping to make up ground this off-season, but the pandemic has really created some challenges that we did not anticipate. This team has shown the ability to really shoot the ball well. We are hoping this skill will help define us on the offensive end. Defensively this team will have to rely on great communication and effort to make up for their inexperience.”
Outlook: “Considering everything that has happened in the past year, we are just excited to get this group out there on the court. The expectations for this group is simple, we want to compete and play as many basketball games as possible.”
