CENTRAL BUCKS WEST FIELD HOCKEY PREVIEW

Coach: Lori Ierubino, 5^th year at CB West, 2^nd year as head coach

Assistant coaches: JV Coach is Bridget Naylor, Varsity Assistant Meghann Spratt (TBD)

Last year’s record: 10-0 in the league and 21-5 overall, 7^th in District 1 3A, Semifinalist in States, lost to eventual state champion Conestoga.

Notable losses: Calista Boos, U18 US National team member and freshman playing field hockey at Wake Forest

Key returners:
Seniors: Kendra Pitts (GK), Aida Ierubino (attack), Eve Damsker (defense)
Junior: Heidi Schoenleber (defense)

Others to watch:

Junior: Laney Hall (forward)
Sophomores: Claire Demmer (attack) and Lucy Smith (midfield)

Outlook: “We enter this season with a lot of excitement. Our team has remained largely intact since last year. However, we are aware that talent only gives us potential; chemistry, work ethic, and shared purpose are what will ultimately define this team’s success.”
