COUNCIL ROCK NORTH BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW

Last year’s record: 6-16 overall, 4-12 SOL
Returning players: The 2024 - 25 CR North Boys Basketball team returns nine varsity players, including four starters and its top two leading scorers from last season. Senior Grady Burt was a second team all-league player last year and the team’s leading returning scorer (14.3 ppg) and rebounder (4.8 rpg) from last year. Senior Oliver Schaefer is a three-year varsity letter winner and is the team’s second leading returning scorer (14.1 ppg). He also led the team in assists (32) and three-point field goals made (44) last season. Andrew O’Keeffe and Jack Curry are also returning starters. O’Keeffe averaged 3.7 ppg and 4.2 rebounds per game last year. Curry averaged 3 ppg and was one of the team’s top defenders. Returning letter winners Josh Erman, Grant Capozzoli, Brendan Green, Brandon Holmes, and Zach Vigrass round out an experienced group of seniors.
Outlook: The ‘24 - ‘25 team will mix in a tough and competitive group of underclassmen who will bring much-needed depth to the lineup.”
The schedule: The ‘24 - ‘25 schedule is highlighted by tough early season non-league games vs. CB West, Constitution, and Northeast High Schools. The Indians look forward to competing for a division title in the highly competitive Suburban One League Patriot Division. North’s opening league game is 12/13 at home vs. defending champion Bensalem. Varsity doubleheader games vs. in - district rival CR South (12/20 & 1/28) are always a highlight to the schedule. The regular season schedule wraps up on 2/4 at home vs. Truman.
