COUNCIL ROCK NORTH BOYS’ SOCCER PREVIEW

Coach:  Joe Stackhouse 9th season

Assistant coaches: Brian Hoffman, Steve Swasey

Last year’s record:  11-7-2 overall, second round District One tournament, 8-4-0 SOL

Notable losses:  Vinnie Colon- LaSalle University, Jeremy Smithline, Spencer Berman, Christian DeSimone, Aaron Abraham, Zain Saidi

Key returners:  Seniors: MF-Xavier Guerreiro , D-Jake Block, F- Louis Bloechl, F- Luke Walstrum, F- Shane Bradley. Juniors:  MF- Nicky Cirncione, MF- Ryan Muroff

Others to watch:  Juniors: Nassir Otmani, Simon Rupp

Strengths/Question Marks:  Strength is great team chemistry, work ethic and soccer IQ. The big question is who will start in goal - three very capable candidates in seniors Andrew Fite and Christian Wierzbowicz and upcoming junior Jeremy Berman.

Outlook: “I believe we are going to be competitive even though somewhat young. We have to establish ourselves early and dictate the pace.”
