Strengths: “This group has a great attitude. They have worked very hard in the offseason and trained all summer long to improve their fitness and skills. They communicate well and seem to have a great team bond.”
Outlook: “Council Rock South looks to be competitive in the Suburban One National League again this season. The team is aware that we have big shoes to fill after finishing the 2016 season undefeated in league play, sixth place in district play, and earning a state berth. CR South has six returning starters in the lineup and quite a few talented younger players stepping into their new roles. Co-captains Tori Wright and Mikayla VanAken were strong leaders last season and we look forward to them continuing that leadership role as well as controlling the midfield.”
